Christmas & permanent lighting · design, measure, sell

A snow-covered two-storey house photographed from the driveway before any holiday lighting is designed
01 · The property

The contractor's own photograph of the house, taken from the driveway. Nothing added.

The same house with C9X's mapped roofline runs drawn along every gable and eave as evenly spaced bulbs
02 · Mapped in C9X

Every roofline clicked point by point. The bulbs you see are drawn from that geometry at their real spacing.

The same house rendered at night with the designed roofline lighting lit
03 · The customer sees this

Built from that exact design — same house, same runs, same spacing — and ready to send.

Homeowners do not buy linear feet. They buy the third picture — and they buy it faster when you can hand it to them in the driveway, priced.

One property, one camera position, three stages. You map the runs on the real photograph; C9X PRO draws that exact geometry back onto it and builds the customer’s picture from the composite — which is also where the footage, the bulb count and the $2,280.00 come from.

02Design it

Design it once.
Everything else follows.

Click or tap points directly on the photo to map each run. Every run is stored as precise geometry with its own product, colour, bulb and spacing — and that geometry becomes the job data everything else runs on: the footage, the price, the night visualization, the customer proposal and the crew work order. One design, five outputs, nothing re-entered and nothing redrawn.

The design workspace: a property photograph with its rooflines mapped point by point, beside a panel listing each run

Map what you actually install

Rooflines, strands, single bulbs, and tree and column wraps — the paths a lighting job is really made of. Wreaths and garland can be placed and measured too, drawn as lit greenery rather than as detailed props.

Specify it the way you buy it

C9, C7, C6, mini, icicle and uplight, each carrying its own spacing default and glow character. Spacing presets from 4″ to 36″, and the type you pick is what drives the bulb and clip counts.

Colour it the way you sell it

Solid, or a repeating pattern at 1×1, 2×2 or 3×3 along the run. Scheme, bulb and spacing stay independent — switching to red and white never changes the bulb count.

Autosave

Every edit is saved as you work, with a visible state. Close the tab in a driveway on cellular and the last run drawn is still there.

Your design is the guide, not a prompt.

Most tools describe a display in words and hope. C9X PRO composites your design onto the customer’s own photograph first — every bulb at its exact pixel position, in its exact colour, drawn by the same renderer the studio canvas uses — and only then asks the model to make that photograph look like night.

Starting from your geometry rather than from a description is what keeps a render close to the job you designed. It is still a generative model, so look before you send it and regenerate if it has taken a liberty. Either way the measurements and the price are never read back out of the picture.

The finished night visualization generated from the mapped design

WHAT WE ASK IT, VERBATIM — “Every point of light already present in this image is a real fixture at a real installed position. Keep every single one exactly where it is.”

03Measure it

Three numbers, kept apart on purpose.

C9X PRO carries measured footage, billable footage and production footage as three separate numbers on every run. Measured is what the geometry says. Billable is what the customer pays for. Production is what the crew cuts and loads. Collapsing them is how a truck arrives short — so all three survive to the work order, each labelled with how much to trust it.

A scale, not a guess

Drag a two-point ruler across something you know — a garage opening, a front door — and enter the real length. Outline a rectangle's four corners instead and the photo is perspective-calibrated, which is what makes a wall shot from an angle measure correctly.

Every number is labelled by its source

Perspective Calibrated, Estimated from Photo, Aerial Estimate, Field Verified, Manual Override. When two disagree the product says so and shows the spread rather than picking quietly.

Production carries your allowance

Billable footage plus the production allowance set in your company settings — 10% on this job, and yours to change. It is better to load one extra foot than to run short on a roof.

04Price it

The same geometry is the price.

Every run points at an item in your price book, at your rates. Move a point, change a spacing or a measurement and the footage, the bulb count, the clips, the wire and the money all move with it — because none of them were typed in twice.

A run nobody has priced reads Not priced, never $0.00. The difference matters when you are checking a number at seven in the morning.

Line items · 5 runs$2,280.00
Material allowance carried into Prepare+10%
Total$2,280.00
Deposit to schedule$1,140.00
Balance on completion$1,140.00

Every amount is stored in integer cents and derived from the same take-off as the design. Discount, tax, deposit and balance are computed once, in one engine, for you and the customer alike.

05Sell it

A proposal, not a take-off.

The homeowner is deciding whether they want their house lit and whether the number is fair. So the customer document folds your runs into the handful of things they are buying — and there is no field on it that could print a footage, a rate or a bulb count.

The customer proposal: both photographs side by side, one package price, deposit and balance

06Install exactly what sold

Sell the job. Hand it straight to the crew.

The customer proposal and the crew work order are generated from the same design — one shaped for a homeowner deciding, the other for a crew installing. Nothing is measured twice and nothing is retyped between them.

Accepting a quote also snapshots the design, the price book and the expenses. If the design changes afterwards, what was sold is still preserved — the work order keeps reading from that snapshot, and says on its face which of the two you are looking at.

The crew work order materials list, showing measured, sold and prepared footage with bulbs, wire and clips

Everything the proposal hides. Per-run footage, product, colour and spacing; bulbs, clips and wire to load; the allowance; run-level crew notes.

Equipment it was priced around. A boom lift priced into the sale cannot be edited off the crew’s copy — a sold job reaching the schedule without it is a wasted day.

Built to be trusted with a number.

01

Designs are geometry, never pixels

Nothing is burned into an image. Restyle a mapped house in any scheme and the measurement does not move.

02

Renders are append-only

Every generation writes a new revision with its own design snapshot, prompt and settings. Nothing is overwritten, so you can always show what was promised.

03

Imagery licensing is enforced in code

Display-only aerial and street imagery cannot be stored or fed to the model. Your own photograph is the default path, and the compliant one.

04

Never a fabricated result

A feature that cannot run says exactly what is missing. An uncalibrated run has no length, and the product says so instead of inventing one.
